Judges Commentary:
This is the photograph that was voted to be the best of all of the first place winners by our members and guest judges. It won on the first round of voting. It comes from the Special Techniques Category where it won first place. Above all, the technical mastery shown by the sharpness in every portion of the image; the perfectly stopped motion with no blurring in the hand, fingers, mass of water, and droplets; the lighting and the beautiful diagonal composition all came together to make this photograph the Best of Show. |
