Be a Contest Sponsor!

The Board of Directors of the Photographic Guild of Los Gatos Education Foundation would like to introduce you to our Annual Junior Photography Contest and solicit your support. The competition is presently in its 40th year and is open to all youth under 18 who live in and/or attend high school in the counties of Santa Clara, San Mateo, Alameda, San Benito, Monterey and Santa Cruz. This contest has been enthusiastically supported over the years by civic leaders, businesses, private citizens and the local high school photography instructors who make our contest a class assignment. We receive over 1000 entries each year and distribute cash awards to more than 40 winning entries.

We sponsor this competition as an incentive to encourage the youth of our society to engage in the creative and worthwhile pursuit of photography. Some winners have gone on to careers in this field. Many winners use our cash awards to help further their education.

All monies donated go directly to these cash awards. We know that organizations have many demands on their resources. Any donation would be gratefully appreciated and would enable us to give out more awards or to create additional categories. The PGLG Educational Foundation is a 501C (3) corporation and all donations are tax deductible. You can view or download the flyer for our 2008 Junior Photography Contest.
